“La Isla Bonita“ is considered to be one of the most authentic and greenest islands of the Canaries. An agreeable climate all year long, green laurel forests, rough volcano landscape in the south, the world’s largest caldera und black sand beaches – all of this makes La Palma a popular destination, especially amongst tourists looking for relaxation and outdoor activities. Especially hikers encounter sporting challenges and can scale peaks like the Roque de los Muchachos on 2,426 meters. Traditional crafts, cultural events and culinary highlights compliment the portfolio. Astronomers and stargazers are very impressed by the islands starry nights, which has been given the title of “Starlight Reserve” by the UNESCO. The UNESCO also honoured the natural beauty of the landscape and declared the isle a Biosphere Reserve. Still, La Palma is considered a hidden gem among the Canaries.
